Will the Google gPhone eat the Apple Iphone and 3skypephone ?

Skype has provided us with some VoIP phones (a whole bunch of them), Apple came out with an Iphone, Microsoft came out with a phone too (not so well known, but they did) and you got a whole bunch of IM companies offering VoIP-services. Don't forget Gizmproject either...

It's quite different from Skype's propietary system : "Google's Monday Revolution will be a suite of software based on Linux and codenamed "Android," according to a story published at News.com. This suite is implied to be an operating system ("it's said to include everything you need to run a phone") to be followed immediately thereafter by an SDK." source.
