Maybe I'll get a sample by 3 skypephone to write some review on it, I was told, but they won't send it to Malaysia, since there is no 3 service here. And that's exactly my point. A phone with Skype service in it (now remember it does not do SKYPE-OUT!) is the most usefull when you are overseas, but that is the problem with it since it only works in these countries : "UK, Australia, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Macau and Sweden" as I was told by the 3skypephone press office.
No sample, no proper review yet, maybe something is on it's way to one of my fellow-bloggers in order to write an honest review. We'll see.
We are back in the year 2005 with the "can you hear me, can you hear me" scenario's.
Then I just asked 100 of my skype geeks contacts if they use a 3 skype phone. None of them does (yet). The 3 skypephone is only available in few countries. no network and they have to abandon their existing cellphone number. won't fly like that... too much limitations. In North America (where there is huge concentration of Skype users) it won't work since it is a dualband phone.
I am off to my meeting with some telecom buffheads without a 3 skypephone. I'll print out a sticker-button of Skype and glue to my cellphone. HA HA HA.
I'll be using my Nokia E70 for now that supports wifi and with www.fring.com in it works just fine. On top of that in EVERY country in the world and with any SIMcard. And it's free. And it works with SIP also. Not so cute, but at least it works.

I like it.
I don't like it.
