New version of Skype Guide for Network Administrators is now available from the Skype security resource center.
This is what I have been waiting for. New version of Skype Guide for Network Administrators Nobody informs me on this topic, so I have to find it all out by myself. The way of the wild wild west. Luckily we have RSS and Google News feeds.
So Skype did a special effort here to make Skype enterprise compatible (many have indeed restricted the use of Skype). The new version of Skype Guide for Network Administrators is now available from the Skype security resource center. It is the essential resource for any IT administrator considering the benefits and risks of Skype in a corporate setting, now updated for Skype 3.0 beta.
This will be increasingly important in the near future due to the advent of :
- more pbx’s and linked to skype p2p
- more email-systems integrated with skype p2p
- more business applications being linked to p2p/skype (CRM, databases and so on)
- more pressure of p2p on corporate networks.
You simply can’t ignore it anymore. P2P is knocking on everybody’s door.

I like it.
I don't like it.
