Yep, clearly the market for blocking Skype / p2p is probably as big (if not bigger) to enable Skype, p2p. For example Lynanda CS, an independent European IT solutions provider, found yet another Way to Block Skype, so even you are a citizen of the free world, before you buy a WIFI SIP or Skype phone, do check with your hotspot- provider if it will be allowed (any time and all the time) on their hot spot network. If you don’t have the budget for fancy WIFI-phones, well a use on of the many USB flash drives to get to work. Insert click and startup Skype. I even use Skype on my old 128 MB mp3 player and/or usb-stick. Works like a charm, a bit slower but it works. And it did not cost me anything. Welcome again in the world of free, free, free… I also like this USBphone with Skype embedded on a clip. Maybe they can add a small USB-hub in the tables at Starbucks ? USB - phone almost cost nothing, so maybe there is business-plan in that… It’s about cheap calling right ? Untill it gets into our cellphones of course…
Others Skype Blocker Works But Needs Plenty Of Grunt. I would take a look at www.ipoque.com on this matter of managing Skype and other traffic.
