It's raining Skype WIFI-phones which will help position Skype...
Everybody is talking about Skype Unveils WiFi VoIP Phones like the WiFi Skype Phones From Belkin And Netgear Appeairing on the market. Well great. Looking forward to that. I would love to test some to be able to make some recommendations, but I guess the more expensive the product (all of them are around 250 USD) the more difficult it become for the hardware vendors to allow testing to be done.
Will be even more interesting to see when the prices drop and when good clones hit the market. I assume these will come from the direction of «you know where that will come from»…
Hopefully for Skype the Introduces of these WiFi Phones will lead to more visibility in the b2c and b2b market. I hope the support is done properly and I guess with www.boingo.net there will be a proper WIFI coverage. I would be checking with my hot-spot provider if x,y,z brand is compatible with the WIFI-network.
Finally we can give a call with our Phone instead of our PC. This is definetely the death of USB-phones, or is it ? It will certainly be more
I also think Skype and WIFI phones is a trendy product. Not only for geeks… Read here : Jet-set skills: live locally, work globally. Definitely in Asia they like these New Melodic Innovations. Digital lifestyle and all that… I still read many doubts if this Internet phone service may be the future. I think it will certainly stand out due it’s different nature, it’s freshness and integration with instant messenging. I still don’t use Yahoo MSN or Live MSN for calling. I find Skype some much cooler and suitable for that. Or maybe we are all becoming modern slaves via our iPods and cellphones…
But not everybody is happy, check out the International Fallout over eBay Fee Hike.

I hope that these Skype phones will do Gizmo too. But I must be dreaming right ? Until then I will stick to my 2 dualphones.

I like it.
I don't like it.
